We got the first snow of the winter tonight! It was so good to see it. I can´t believe I am saying it but I missed the snow a little. The only thing that could have made it better would have been soaking in a hot pot in the snow.

More Hot Pots
September 22nd, 2008 · No Comments
Siggi and I went to the pool the other day after a long day of hard work. We were sitting in the hot tub and it started to rain, then it started to hail and then the sun came out. I love sitting in the hot pot when it is raining or snowing.

This weekend was amazing! Katie and I had the house to ourselves and it was rainy. I love rainy days when I have nowhere to be. I was able to get a lot of writing done this weekend, so that was very good. Katie and I watched In to the Wild yesterday. Katie and I […]

Icelandic Heat Wave!!
July 31st, 2008 · 1 Comment
Iceland experienced a heat wave yesterday. I kid you not. The temperature rose to 30 degrees celsius. That is the highest temperature in Iceland in the past 150 years that they have been measuring and recording. For those of you in America that is 86 degrees fahrenheit. It felt like winter in Charlotte. I was able […]

Rain

It has been raining the last few days. I normally would not be happy with that since I walk and take the bus everywhere. But I have spent the last few days hanging out around the house studying and reading. It is so peaceful to hear the rain falling outside our window. It has been […]

Katie is doing an amazing job getting ready for them, and finding them housing. I helped Siggi hang shelves at the Kaffi shop. It is starting to […]

Saturday when Katie and I got home from the Soaking conference we found a note stating that we had missed a delivery from Katie´s parents. On our way to the old harbor area where we were told our post office was located, we stopped by Domus to say hello to Sæunn. She and Siggi are […]

Yesterday was a fun day. We went to the coffee a shop in the morning to skype and email and other internet related things. It was very rainy most of the day. Sæunn took us to a store that is somewhat like a family dollar store in the US. We bought a shower curtain, and […]

Storm Watch

Been watching Hurricane Katrina for the past 15 hours or so, and it is crazy. As I type New Orleans is being battered. Building are collapsing in Louisiana. Water is to ceiling level in some houses already. It is amazing to see the raw and devastating power that nature can muster with the mixing up […]
